Stuart Robertson - Photographer
I have been fascinated by photography for as long as I can remember, it was initially the equipment that caught my eye. There is something about a camera, particularly a film camera with its metal shell covered in black faux leather, the dials and buttons and the beautiful feel of the mechanical engineering. They just feel so good in the hands.
I bullied my parents into buying a range finder camera from a school jumble sale when I was about 10. I don’t remember much about it other than I just loved to play it: focusing the lens, testing the shutter and adjusting the settings. And I’ve been taking photographs ever since.
Photography has only ever been a hobby for me up until recently when I have been taking it more seriously. And now at the age of 56 it’s time to see if I can make a go of it as a professional. My role as COO of a charity has come to an end due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis and I find myself with time on my hands and a need to find another source of income.
Hopefully you can see from the work on these pages that I am a competent photographer capable of capturing beautiful and impactful images across a range of genres: events, portrait, product, architectural, travel etc. I have the equipment, the imagination and creativity to deliver whatever you may require.
I am based in Northwood, north-west London and can be available for work throughout the UK and internationally if required.
