A manifesto for happiness

only to then realize

that it’s worth next to

Worthlessness

A buyer’s market and they don’t like

What you’re offering them

 

Clearly of no mutual benefit

Though in all honesty harmless

Where’s the profit in that?

If they can’t gain advantage

Luxury food on the table

Two cars in the garage

Secure in the knowledge

That there’s somebody worse off

 

They’ve no wish to take stock

Of a dark abyss deficit

Dangerous analysis

For sham philanthropists

 

There’s no gift worthy

For the terminally selfish

Self-serving sociable, unnaturally envious

They’re going to get theirs’

Before someone else does.
